As mentioned in my previous post, In this post, let us see step by step tutorial in configuring distributor at server 1
In SSMS - > Under Object Explorer - > Replication - > right-click Configure Distribution...
Here we are going to configure server to be a Distributor which can be used by other Publishers.

Configure Server1 as distributor:

Provide distribution database name & path:

This snapshot folder does not support pull subscriptions created at the Subscriber.
It is not a network path or it is a drive letter mapped to a network path.
To support both push and pull subscriptions, use a network path to refer to this folder.
Push & Pull Subscription:
The Distribution Agent runs at the Distributor for push subscriptions and at the Subscriber for pull subscriptions.
Click Add and map to server 2 which is going to be configured as Publisher:

Provide Password:

Provide path for saving Configuration scripts and Click Finish.
